About the Event

Elena Vereschak is a certified yoga teacher and breathing instructor, mindfulness and well being coach. She will be doing a lunchtime anti-anxiety breathing session for us at CWPA. Each session is unique & the breathing techniques Elena uses are based on the Himalayan Yogic Tradition. Each technique has specific benefits such as stabilising nervous system, improving digestion, energising & improving brain activity.

Prior to settling in Crete in 2020, I spent 15 years in London, finishing my studies Bachelor in teaching English and French, Masters in Human Resource Management but also learning the tools which could help me and others. I finished my course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction approach, studied the philosophy of yoga, physiology of the breath and constantly strived to know more about happier and healthier life. Later, I moved to Athens (Greece) where I started learning Greek. I have also lived and worked in Dubai (UAE) .That place was a turning point for me, then I moved to Indonesia and spent some time in Bali, volunteering in the yoga school. I had the privilege to see the beauty of our planet, by visiting 35 countries and some of them a few times. Each trip, each encounter, each experience showed me time after time, that we all want the same things - peace, love and safety.

We are more the same than different. Either you go to the remote village in Morocco, or visit one of the least visited places in the world - Comoros island or go for a road trip in Eastern Australia - you will see again and again that everyone is like you and you are like them, because fundamentally we all come from the same Source.

Every breathing exercise has several benefits from stabilizing your nervous system, to improving digestion, energizing, finding your focus, improving the work of the brain, balancing the energy and many more. Since 2019, I have been doing breathing sessions which helped and impacted the lives of a lot of people, including myself. Breathing sessions are based on Himalayan Yogic ancient tradition, incorporating mindfulness, conscious breathing, dynamic movements, visualizations, affirmations and positive vibrations. Each session is unique and concentrates on a specific physical, mental or spiritual aspect. I am also practicing and teaching vinyasa and prenatal yoga. My classes are very free flowing and creative, I emphasize the comfort of the body, not the perfection of the poses. The emphasis is on mindful movement, where breath and movement become one. Now, my aim is to spread positivity, to heal through the breath and healthy mind, to embody everything I believe in and remind you that you have innate and inner tools to help yours.
